NORWEGIAN BREAKAWAY FAMILY CHRISTMAS CRUISE - Norwegian Cruise Line (December 2014)
I'm another title
Our sincere thanks for all you did to make our family celebration at sea so memorable. You worked with us from May through the summer and fall. With fourteen family members in seven cabins, you were able to keep all our needed personal information straight, got us discounts, insurance, our soda cards, gratuity packages, all with the right names and room numbers… practically on a first name basis with each of us. You were always ready to respond to phone or email questions immediately, even when you were traveling yourself.
As our Bahamas cruise on the Norwegian Breakaway round trip out of New York drew near, the real SantaLucia service plan kicked in! Suddenly we had someone who could make sure our dinner reservations would be at the same time and place (different each night) … remember there were 14 of us. You got us reservations for the entertainment venues together on the same evening, and at the right time. You had us contact the Group Services Coordinator, Mr. Saladin, on the ship for any assistance we needed. We had ringside tables for the Cirque Dreams dinner show, with acrobats and dancers practically at our table. We were notified that someone would meet us, escort us through the backstage passages to the theater, and she did… the teenagers were impressed!
As this was Christmas week, as well as Gene’s 80th birthday, and Tom’s 54th, we were deluged with all kinds of room service. Gene arrived at our room with a birthday cake waiting for him, along with little treats, chocolate in the other six cabins. Coming back from dinner that night, the room was decorated with birthday signs, streamers and more goodies, also in the other six cabins. For Tom’s birthday on the 23rd, that room also was decorated. We asked room service to deliver the birthday cakes to our dining rooms those evenings, where we had singing and the maitre’d slicing the cakes, with a lot of pix and laughs. There were many complementary fruit plates and bottles of wine delivered to our room, which we brought to dinner each night. I know you had a lot to do with that, too. I have a collection of welcome notes from the Captain and his staff. We were made to feel very special.
The ship was decorated with holiday flowers and mini winter villages made out of candy, cookies and sugar icing … a lovely holiday atmosphere. Some of the nicest attention we got from you was a personal introduction to Betty at the Terminal in NYC as we arrived. We asked for her, and she took special care of our party till time to board… I think we were the first ones on the ship!
As we had transportation waiting at the pier on our arrival back in NYC, we wanted to carry our luggage off the ship. We were contacted again that we should meet someone at a certain door who would escort us off the ship before the main body of passengers. We walked through the empty terminal (no luggage had been bought out yet), through the front door, and there was our jitney waiting for us.
Mike, the trip went off smoothly as can be. You played the major role in smoothing out all the bumps. You are on the Norwegian Cruise Line Advisory Board, and you’ve been on this particular cruise. You shared a lot of inside info with us. Our family was so impressed! “OK, here comes another tray of goodies!”

PRIDE OF AMERICA HAWAII - Norwegian Cruise Line America (May 2015)
Jamaal and I had a WONDERFUL time on our cruise. We wanted to thank you for the Bon Voyage package, which started our trip off well, as well as urging us to link up with Kaj (he says to tell you 'Hello'). We got to meet with Felix, Director of Outlets, who ensured that Jamaal's allergies were looked after. We were treated as VIP's on this trip and it REALLY made Jamaal's first cruise memorable. We were even invited to dine with Kaj and his assistant, Jason. It was an amazing trip!!!!! We have mentioned to anyone who will listen that we went with Mike SantaLucia from SantaLucia Travel company, so hopefully your line will be ringing off the hook!
I know our mothers and aunt had a great time as well. We really loved the Ultimate Dining Package and the onboard credit was a great way to treat ourselves guilt-free!
Again, many MANY thanks for all your help in coordinating this trip. We had a ball and can't wait to book our next trip.
VALENCIA & BARCELONA SPAIN - Europe Express (June/July 2014)
My husband and I just returned from a trip to Barcelona, Spain which we took to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. Although my husband has previously travelled extensively in Europe for business, this was my first trip there. Because of these two reasons and because the trip was expensive, it was important to me that this trip be very memorable. Mike was amazing; he made suggestions which we didn't even know were available and that made our trip much more pleasant. For example, he suggested we travel through Spain via train rather than renting a car and driving ourselves. He helped us get flights at very reasonable prices and that had minimum layovers. The hotel he booked us at in Barcelona was one of the nicest I've ever stayed in...I truly didn't want to come home. Mike was extremely attentive to all of the details and was very fast and efficient in his service. He also added personal touches that are rare these days in any business. We received a package in the mail with all sorts of maps and guidebooks and even a Spanish/ English phrasebook which I used non-stop to get around Barcelona. I would have never
hought to do this let alone to ask for it from a travel agent! All of these things truly did help to make our second honeymoon all that we had hoped for....actually, in many ways it was better than our first honeymoon.
As a disclaimer, Mike and Kelly are my brother and sister-in-law so it may look like I have a bias in favor of them and their business because of my relationship to them by marriage. Of course I wish them all the success in their business endeavors because of this. However, I can honestly say that this is the best service I have ever encountered from a travel agency regardless of my personal relationship with them. I have no reservations in recommending them for all of your travel needs. I personally plan to use them for all of my travel needs for the rest of my life and my husband and I plan to travel a lot more in the years to come now that we are empty-nesters!! Use SantaLucia Travel...they are awesome!

ALLURE OF THE SEAS - Royal Caribbean (August 2013)
Mike is easily accessible at varied hours of the day including weekends, and always seems to be there for you when you need him most, especially while your traveling! Twice in the past 2 summers we've had itineraries impacted by hurricanes and Mike was advising us before anyone even had the "official announcements" of how our cruse might be impacted and helped us arrange alternative flights and hotels as needed to ensure we had a great experience despite uncontrollable weather mishaps. Mike is just fantastic to work with!
His passion for travel and the cruise industry is clearly evident in the efforts he puts forth in matching the right cruise to the right customer and making sure they have a great experience from beginning to end. Very happy to have found Mike for my travel needs!
